HOW IT WORKS
Who’s hyped for you? ME. I am a big ol’ softy for love stories, and you better believe I’ll celebrate yours any way you want. We’ll talk about what you want—and don’t—for your elopement, and I’ll give you helpful questionnaires so we can start the planning process.
1. Tell me your story
This wild, wonderful world is your venue. You can rely on me to use my research skills and expertise to scout out the best location for you. But can I tell you a secret? I don’t have a favorite place to shoot, because every new place has something that makes it perfect and unique. So my favorite location? It’s the last place I’ve been, especially if it’s the last place I’ve been with you. I am a seasoned traveler, though, so I can definitely help you sift through many different locations until we find one that's just right for the two of you.
2. Picking your perfect location
I know how important it is to trust your vendors—they’re helping you pull off one epic day! I’ll give you my recommendations for anything you need, no matter where your elopement is taking you. Flowers, pastry chefs … maybe even helicopter pilots. I can tap into a worldwide network of elopement photographers to find exactly what you need. You can rely on me to put all my heart and soul into guiding you through the planning process. Bonus! I’m also a legal officiant in most locations, so I can help you make that marriage official.
03. creating the team
Nature is wild and raw. It’s one of the reasons I’m so drawn to it, and I bet you are too. That also means every plan we come up with together, we’ll also create a plan B … C … and D. Don’t think of them as back-up plans, think of them as new adventures. If it’s raining at the beach, we’ll duck into the shrouded, cool woods for some sweet photos under the forest canopy.

Your day is yours. I’m there to support you, not run the show. So you can trust that I will honor and uplift every decision you make and be your advocate in any way you need. Sometimes, that means giving you the tools to talk to family and friends about your decision to elope. Never forget this—no one has the right to demand influence or to be at your wedding. No one.

Instead, I’ll use my knowledge to document your natural interactions while also helping you feel your absolute best. Are travel fees an additional cost?
NO! There are no additional costs for my personal travel. (If your elopement includes something awesome like a hot air balloon or helicopter ride, boat, etc., those costs will, of course, be additional!)
Do you only shoot elopements?
I shoot all types of couple photos! From surprise proposals, engagement pictures, and adventure sessions to elopements, micro weddings, and vow renewals, if you need pictures with the love of your life, I'm there to document it!
We know we want to elope, but we aren’t sure where. Can you help us find a place?
Absolutely! I’m not just an elopement photographer; I’m an elopement photographer and guide! One of my favorite things to do is to help couples find their dream location for their special day. From the PNW to New Mexico to New Zealand or Iceland, I can help you find that perfect spot for you to say, “I do,” with your soulmate. We’ll work together to turn your dream vision into reality.
Should I hire a wedding planner?
No, you won't need a wedding planner at all! Because I only photograph elopements with a total of 15 people or less, I can help you with anything you need. I can recommend vendors that will make your elopement day exactly what you’re picturing (design, florists, bakers, officiants, hair, makeup, etc). As mentioned above, I can recommend locations and give you ideas for how you might want to spend your special day, as well as be a guide for things like which airport to fly into and where to stay. I will be there throughout the whole planning process as your guide.
What if you’ve never been to where we want to elope?
Not only do I help eloping couples plan trips around the country and around the world, I am also a very experienced traveler, myself! This is a part of the job that I absolutely love. I have many resources, including several worldwide networks of photographers and vendors at my disposal, to make your trip absolutely epic. In addition, I am bilingual, so if you’re traveling to a Spanish-speaking country, I’ve got you more than covered! Part of why I love my job is because I get to visit new places all over the world. Let’s explore together!
Do you shoot big weddings?
I actually do not! I want every couple to get married just how they want, but my experience is in helping couples with 15 or less guests get married.
How do we know how much photography coverage we need?
In our first phone consultation (before you even book!), we’ll talk all about that! We’ll talk about the day you’re dreaming of and what that might look like, including how long that day will last.
Do we hike in our wedding clothes (and do we have to hike)?
This is totally up to you! Hiking is for some couples and not for others. An adventure elopement doesn’t have to include hiking at all! (Can you say helicopter elopement on a glacier???!) As for what you wear, I definitely have couples who choose to wear their wedding gear for the entirety of their elopement day and also couples who choose to hike in hiking clothes, then change for their ceremony. Whatever feels right to you is fine! (And yes, I’ll help you pack your wedding dress and veil when it comes time. Along with your bouquet…)
Do you shoot LGBTQIA+ weddings?
Absofreakinglutely! I am a member of the queer community and feel strongly that love is love and that love wins! I believe in equality for all human beings, and that definitely includes same-sex couples and anybody else on the rainbow spectrum!
